Reviews:
* Stellar fuel economy; favorable pricing; roomy interior; nimble and easy-to-park size. Source: Edmunds
* The world's first and most successful mass-produced hybrid car, the Toyota Prius hybrid continues to expand its dominance. If you're looking for the best fuel economy in the hybrid field, the Prius' 51cty/48 hwy mpg rating is still king. The plug-in model also allows for more options and with the ability to run solely on electric power at ratings of 95 MPGe. The driver is given a range of performance options via the EV, Eco, and Power buttons, which allow for variations in throttle application and fuel consumption. In EV mode, the Prius hybrid functions solely on electric power (speed and miles permitting), while the Power mode setting delivers the full potential of the gasoline engine assisted by the electric motor. The Eco mode setting is probably the most useful of the three, allowing the Prius' computer to modify the throttle response for the best balance of fuel consumption and performance. The Toyota Prius hybrid hatchback features an interior as modern and different as its exterior. The available Solar Roof is embedded with solar panels that can power a fan to circulate ambient air through the cabin when parked in direct sunlight. The contoured dash looks particularly handsome with its 2-tone panels. The Prius' sheet metal is designed to cheat the wind, with sharp-edged creases and flush glass panels. Even the car's wheel covers are aerodynamic. Available safety features include Dynamic Radar Cruise Control which can regulate vehicle speed when cruise control is engaged, a Pre-Collision System which can automatically apply brakes if collision is detected, and Lane Keep Assist which can give a warning notification or when Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is engaged it can gently correct steering. • Terrific fuel efficient small car

I’ve owned my Prius C for a little over 4 years and I love it as much today as I did the day I bought it with cash from an insurance settlement on our rear ended and totaled Lexus. I wanted a smaller, more basic car with great gas mileage and liked the cute styling of the Prius C. Compared to other models I tried, it felt more solid and the sound system was excellent. It drove well and had decent acceleration for the frequent 3 hour driving trips I take. I’m superstitious enough to say Knock Wood here, but I haven’t had a bit of trouble with it and the maintenance cost has been extremely low. The only thing I wish I had gotten if it was available at the time is the back-up screen display. I’ve backed into things a couple of times, totally my fault. The ride is not as quiet as the Acura that my husband now drives, but it’s not annoying. Last but not least, I’ve never paid more than $19 to fill the tank and I don’t need to fill it any more often than I did the Acura TL at more than twice the cost. I will never go back to a gas only automobile and am considering electric only for my next vehicle if I can find one reasonably priced with a 250 mile range.

Got this car for the cheap and it still holds its value after 2 years. It's not a fast car at all but this car was built for fuel efficiency so can't complain. Gets me from point A to B with ease. Other cars at the same price didn't have close to all the features this car has. I average 50 mpg daily. It's about 25 bucks to fill up my car and it goes for 350 miles easy!
  • Extremely reliable car !

This little car deserves solid 5* rating. Dont trust other pay-to-review website low rating score. Our 2012 prius c just reached 160k miles with ZERO mechanic issue. Only have to perform oil change, transmission fluid change, and tire replacement. Yes, the little c is small and little bit slow. BUT the insane gas mileage and extreme reliability really outweighs the disadvantages.
